STYLE OF LESSONS 

Music Academy provides professional tuition in Piano, Violin, Theory and Musicianship. Sight-reading and various Aural techniques including the Solfege system are used. 

GROUP LESSONS

Group lessons  are a mix of activities that change each week to keep things lively and spontaneous. Group lessons are wonderful for little beginners or for students that prefer team work and like a relaxed way of learning without the spotlight directly on them. It encourage Students to learn to listen to each other while playing, developing a better sense of rhythm and tempo. Ensemble playing, friendly competition through games and incentive programs. Sight Reading, Improvisation activity, Rote learning of familiar melodies.

*A theory group class and an ensemble class experience is offered once a month when possible


INDIVIDUAL LESSONS

Individual Music lessons involve one on one attention and instruction between a teacher and a student. Lessons are individually tailored: it can be a preparation for exams or just work through own choice pieces or graded books. Individual lessons give Students a sense of identity. It is a special time just for them where they can meet with their teacher and work together to improve their own skills and build confidence. A class setting cannot offer this to the same degree. Greater accountability, individualised instructions, and attention, increased motivation, more opportunity for greater success.


RECITALS/COMPETITIONS

Numerous opportunities are available for students to share their music with friends and family and to develop performance skills. A schedule will be provided to allow time for you to arrange your plans accordingly.
Students may be selected to participate in judged competitions or masterclasses with prominent musicians. These experiences give students an incentive for hard work, provide an objective evaluation of their performance and result in a feeling of accomplishment.
